Muthaiga Golf Club made history once again on Sunday 17th April 2022 by winning the 97th Edition of the Tannahill Shield Golf Tournament at Royal Nairobi Golf Club & retaining its title as the Champion of this prestigious amateur Easter Golf Competition.

Pardon the pan but it has been a truly “Magical” Kenya Open with full of many twists, turns and breathtaking moments on the Muthaiga fairway. One of the signature moments in this Championship tournament has been the budding rise of one of the Club’s top junior Njoroge Kibugu, a junior amateur representing Kenya on the biggest golf stage.

WE ARE OPEN! The Cabinet Secretary Amb (Dr.) Amina Mohammed on Friday 5th February 2022 launched the 2022 Magical Kenya Open at Muthaiga Golf Club. This will be the first time the Club will be hosting the Kenya Open as a European Tour tournament.

This is the first major golf event in the Club's golf Club starting Friday 7th January 2022. This is a knockout competition that is open to only two teams from all golf clubs in Nairobi County. A subsidiary event is played over 36-holes , medal foursomes with a combined handicap limit of 24.
